Con dot José: The WorldCon MetaBlog

What this is for:

This page collects weblog posts about ConJosé, the 60th World Science Fiction Convention. The goal of the page is to have a gazetter view of WorldCon by webloggers. It needs your participation in order for it to work.

How To Connect to this Page

Trackbacks On This Page Have Been Disabled.

If you use Movable Type to write your weblog, then you can have it register a track back to one of the categories on this page when you write an entry.

Each of the categories has a trackback URL.

The way to set this up, so you alert us of a post automatically, is to create a category in your weblog, say "ConJose: Hugos", and assign it the appropriate trackback URL "http://www.whump.com/wiring/mt-tb.php?tb_id=3" in the category editor. Then, whenever you write a entry in that category, Moveable Type will send an update to our trackback listener, and a link to your entry, along with an excerpt, will appear on this page.

If you don't use categories, or don't want to create categories for something as transient as WorldCon then:

When you are editing a WorldCon-related post in Moveable Type, you can paste the appropriate trackback URL into the editing form:

Moveable Type Edit Entry Screenshot

or if you have the Moveable Type bookmark enabled, you can launch it on this page, select a category, and write your entry.

Moveable Type Bookmarklet Screenshot

After you've published your entry, and reload this page, your weblog entry will appear in the list of posts in that category.

If you don't have MT, but want to ping, you can use the form at the bottom of the page to send a ping to our listener.

Languages, Life, ConJose
I am slowly getting back on track. The main improvement in my life seems to be going back to three, and three only, languages in which to think. My English-Russian-Hebrew system was not balanced to begin with, since I am only actively trilingual for one

Grrr... my panel on Weblogs at ConJose is scheduled against the panel on Scottish Socialist SF, the Crypto/Privacy/Big Brother panel with Vinge/Scheider/Daniels, and Stan Robinson's kaffeklatch. All those fine items at once. You'd think it was WisCon.
