Foe licences patent to rival
Welcome to the silly world created by allowing patents on business processes. Priceline was granted a patent for a means of doing business. Another company claims having a prior and broader patent. What’s so silly about all of this is that the parties to the dispute are arguing about a Dutch Auction, which as been around, well at least as long as they’ve been selling tulips in Holland.
