Linux vs. NT: the Admins Speak
Hotwired’s Webmonkey talks to the managers of busy sites: eBay, Slashdot, Ask Jeeves, Steam.com, Salon and Deja.com about their choice of Linux or NT. The message from the NT advocates is they feel it’s easier to hire IIS/ASP/COM people than Perl/PHP people. The NT response to the scalablity issue is to throw money, hardware and software at the problem.
