Using Cyberspace to Create Real Communities

My favorite WisCon panel was the “Women and Technology” discussion. At several points, the conversation turned to choosing or being aware of the technologies we use. There’s a related article in the new The Nation by Andrew L. Shapiro, from his forthcoming book is about choosing to use the Internet to bolster geographical, rather than voluntary communities.
