California Smog Fee Refund
[ via the Mercury News ] If you brought a car into California since 1992 and paid the $300 smog fee, you may be entitled to a refund. A state appeals court overturned the fee on Friday, October 1st.
I thought the rationale for the fee was fair, but the court disagreed. I may donate part of my refund to an environmental charity.
