SJ Mercury News strike averted at last minute

Color me clueless because until a friend in the Midwest emailed me about it, I didn’t know that workers at the Mercury News were considering a strike. Unlike Java programmers, newspaper people aren’t getting rich. The main issue is pay. The trades want a 10% increase and management offered 2%. Both sides agreed to continue bargaining.
