Bigot and self-described Man of G_D Jerry Falwell told the Mercury News this week that the GOP can win this fall if the Religious Right can stay shut up. Aside from the hissy fit on the floor when an openly Gay Congressman spoke on trade, the nuts have done a good job of staying out of the spotlight. But before you think Dub and Company have marginalized the Christian Right, check out a report from the Christian Coalition’s Faith and Freedom rally in Philadelphia. They are still a major influence on the GOP.
