Evangelicals consider intellectual freedom
There’s a severe skew in American culture. While a large number of Americans consider themselves evangelicals, the tradition itself ranks dead last in intelectual stature. Evangelical scholars want to change that, however, to do that means they must embrace alien concepts such as freedom of inquiry. The Atlantic Monthy reports on the new American religous watershed.
