[ via XSLT list ] Kevin Jones has released a new set of benchmarks for the various XSLT processors. Xalan doesn’t fare well, while Sun’s style sheet compiler does. However, since the Sun compiler takes an XSLT sheet and kicks out a Java .class file, I’d expect it to do well. It seems you’d need to account for the time it takes to compile a sheet into a .class file.
