How being a cyborg can make you feel more human

My friend Janet has an essay on her insulin pump in today’s Salon. She says the pump doesn’t make her feel like a member of the Borg. She has type one diabetes, and the pump has freed her from some of the drudgery which makes everyday tasks such as eating into a chore and a math problem.
