I received sad news from my friend and journal keeper Lucy last night. Dixie — a big, friendly, docile lab mix who she and her husband John had taken care of for many years — died Sunday. Dixie loved the back yard in thier San Bruno bungalo. She would lay on the grass, or in the sheltered side yard all day. She put up with John and Lucy’s two cats. I’ll miss Dixie.
