Rough Draft of the Apology Letter

[ via Cyn Gonsalves ] One of the Washington Post’s writers has his guess of one of the rough drafts of the apology to the Chinese goverment over the turboprop vs. jet fighter incident.

We are very sorry that, in a moment of overreaction to the crisis, we transferred the giant pandas from the National Zoo to the Sing Sing prison in New York State. We assure you that the conditions in the prison laundry and the license-plate manufacturing plant were relatively humane.

It’s a bit jingoistic… but hey. See what happens when you pirate copies of “Top Gun”.
