Info for Missile and Space Junkies who want to watch Launches from Vandenberg AFB
The next time I go to LA, I want to schedule a detour to watch a launch out of Vandenberg AFB on the way. My Dad worked at Vandenberg, for Martin Aerospace, in the early 60′s. I grew up listening to his stories of spectacular failures of Atlas and Minuteman test launches (but no stories of failed Titan II launches…) Watching a launch would be great for the thrill of seeing it, and living part of Dad’s history.
