[ via Anil Dash ] Cool article in the Chronicle on how straight men are claiming space in Queer culture. People are divided on the topic as you’d expect. And the article reminded me of my hesitance to saying I’m a Feminist. Even though I support the goals of Feminist and Queer cultures, I’m not comfortable saying I’m Feminist or Queer because I’m a straight male, and at a basic level, not qualified to make the judgement. I’ll keep with describing myself as Feminist- and Queer-positive/supporting.
