US may advertise on al-Jazeera TV channel

From the Guardian, a report that the Undersecretary of State for Public Diplomacy (jeeze, nearly as doublespeak a title as “Homeland Defense”) is considering buying ads on the al-Jazeera TV channel to assure Muslim viewers that the US is not waging a war in Islam.
