Using wireless sensors to improve farming

Citrus farmers in Southwestern Florida are using networks of wireless sensors to determine the effectiveness of their irrigation plans.

Before 2Roam’s unfortunate demise, there was a related project I was hoping we’d get. A dairy in Wisconsin had been delivering summary data on the milk they’d collected from farmers via fax. But the farmers wanted access to the data from their computers, or better, their phones.
