Football with Jesus

For Good Friday, we link to John Scalzi’s meditations on a collectible sculpture of Jesus playing football with the kids.

And as we all know, from a “wrong end of Satan’s basting syringe” perspective, simply not being on Jesus’ team is just as bad as being actively against Him. You see the quandary.

I grew up in Texas, so the fundamental moral conflict portrayed in the sculpture is familiar. Whom will the artist serve: football or Christ? The artist wants to have both.
