Adam Curry on Pym Fortuyn

I don’t know Adam personaly, but I’ve been reading him long enough to trust his take on things. He talks about how Fortuyn got a raw deal in the media. I don’t agree with Fortuyn’s proposal to deny Muslims immigration rights, but I understand his reasons for it. The Dutch have worked many centuries (!) to build a pluralistic society.

But the threat that Muslims would vote in a repressive society depends on if those new Dutch Muslim citizens were and remained fundamentalists. Would they?

I’ve asked an old friend, who lived in Den Hague for many years before she moved to Dublin, for her take on the situation. I hope to get to print her answers here, or get her to start her own weblog.
