From the “We’re Not A Rogue State” Department: The treaty establishing the International Criminal Court goes into effect at the same time that the UN Security Council has to renew or abandon the mandate for peacekeeping troops in Bosnia. The US contingent is demanding a blanket exemption from ICC prosecution of US soldiers, or bad things will happen at the Security Council.
After all, we don’t commit war crimes, only the Axis of Evil (and perhaps the French) do that.
