JavaScripting Mac OS

I had dinner with Dori Smith at the O’Reilly Mac OS X conference. She told me about Late Night Software’s JavaScript OSA extension, which allows you to use JavaScript in any OSA-aware application on Mac OS. That means you can use JavaScript instead of AppleScript.

People tend to forget that JavaScript is a real language, and not a way to annoy users with pop-ups. This implementation is built from the same JavaScript engine used in the Mozilla project. Very cool.
