[ via Memepool ] Hey ho! Tom Bombadil’s the shitniz. If Leonard Nimoy can try to sing about Bilbo, then someone can rap about Frodo.
Back in March, I went to a Mermen show at the Great American Music Hall, where a friend described the lead singer of the opening act:
The capering Prairie Prince, the lead singer for Polo Enferno, moved my friend Spike to comment that he appeared to be a cross between Janet Jackson and Tom Bombadil.
As Dave Winer likes to quote the Dead: it’s worse than it appears. Folk of Middle Earth, we give you Quickbeam and Bombadil: The Lords of the Rhymes. Speak ‘werd to the mutha’ and enter.
The sound is late 90’s Beasties (Ill Communication with London, not Brooklyn accents), with samples from the BBC Radio version of LOtR, and the “Ballad of Bilbo Baggins”. High mementic hazard kids, it’ll peg your dawkinometer. [ MP3, Real ]
