An Unsatisfactory Solution to the Wolfowitz Fraction

My earlier posting on the observation that Wolfowitz reminded me of a character in one of Ken McLeod’s novels has been picked up, and argued over at length on Patrick’s blog.

N. Z. Bear thinks that one of Heinlein’s characters is a better analogy. But I haven’t read many of Heinlein’s short stories. And I’ll have to remedy that in order to see if I agree with N. Z. Bear.
