I wanted to pay my car’s registration fee online. That is if the amount shown reflected the change in fees per the Gropenfürer’s executive order.
Before I could determine if my invoice had been updated, I was stopped. Safari thinks that the DMV’s certificate is dodgy.
There’s no email to send a report to, so I have to use a form to report the bug.
A few moments later, I get an email back from the DMV. It rejected my trouble report as it didn’t know how to classify it. They suggest calling the DMV. Ha, as if I’m going to get through to an operator when a million math-impaired Californian’s are calling to ask the DMV to recalculate their fees.
This is horrible design. I can’t send them a bug report. So I’ll have to mail them my check instead.
Did I mention there’s a $4 surcharge for paying your fee online?
