Just saw Philip Seymour Hoffman in Owning Mahowny, about a Toronto bank manager with a serious gambling problem, and in debt to his bookie.
I was first worried it was going to be one of those trips into hell where the protagonist is destroyed, but Mahowny’s a nebbish sort who stays constant and focused even as everyone else is flailing about him.
The DVD had a trailer for Masked and Anonymous, which I really want to see.
