I recognized that Civic Del Sol converted into a Star Wars prop [ Original Link is Down ]. It was on display at ConJosé, back in 2002.

I’ve put my photos of the car on my .Mac account. Note well, it’s not my car, I just saw it back in 2002.

Updates: I traded some emails today with Shawn Crosby, who did that conversion. He received some 2.1 HTTP requests for 60 Gigabytes of bandwidth yesterday. His ISP throws out the highest bandwidth day, but he may face a $1,200 bill, so be prepared to do the right thing and help him with it.

Shawn thinks that ‘patient zero’ of the linkage was some photos on a Subaru owners board. Unfortunately, after reading that thread, I’ve come to the conclusion that there are a lot of jerks in the Subaru world.
