Understanding France

Understanding France is written by an American ex-pat in Paris, and comes recommended by several ex-pats.

The site answers all sorts of naive questions us Americans have about the country and its culture:

*: as in living overseas, not event-driven XML parsing.

**: there are universals, of course, I’m not a damned relativist. For example, all civilized people agree that the New York Yankees are evil.
