Just watched director Guillermo del Toro’s (Hellboy) first movie, Cronos. A fun little film about an artifact that confers a vampiric immortality on its user. It features Ron Perlman as a henchman obsessed with rhinoplasty.
The plot didn’t quite work, I think the protagonist figured out the artifact without us seeing him understand it (an extra scene here would had been useful.)
The movie’s dialog is bilingual: Spanish and English. But Perlman does all his cursing in English. A shame, he curses a blue streak a couple of times, and Spanish is a great language for swearing.
