My home town hasn’t changed that much…

Ah, my home town makes the news. [ Thanks to my high school classmate Chad for the headsup. ]

The thing is, fights between massed cliques of thugs of various stripes is a Garland tradition. One sign of spring was the annual fight between the ‘goat ropers’ and ‘freaks’ in the parking lot of the the convenience store across the street from old North Garland High School. Then there was the fights between white and black athletes which precipitated in the wake of a rumored interethnic kiss. We

Nothing’s new here, just that the combatants have gotten around to using ten year old technology for planning.

Oh, and a hint to the town fathers: the reason why Garland remains an underdeveloped hole is that you refused to license liquor by the drink, driving large scale retail development into other suburbs of Dallas.
