Lyra Flees Band Camp: Weitz quits Pullman Adaptation

[ via Orcinus ] Daily Variety [Subscription Required] reports director Chris Weitz has left the movie adaptation of His Dark Materials citing “technical challenges.” Maybe those challenges were the 100,000 angry emails he got when he said he was cutting out the references to the Church.
