TCM and AFI to try and out iMDB the iMDB

Turner Classic Movies and the American Film Institute plan to launch a comprehensive film database site early next year. [ link requires Daily Variety subscription ] The site will have movie trailers, production notes, movie clips, stills, movie scripts and in-depth articles by critics and film historians. The site, tcmdb.com, is currently a blank page, but Daily Variety says they plan to launch on 1 Jan 2006.
