Outlining in MarsEdit

I’m in IM with Ed Vielmetti, who’s using Dave’s OPML editor to blog MashupCamp.

Dave Winer’s gotten plenty of mileage out of the 20+ year-old ThinkTank codebase. Bully for him!

The thing is, I could get into writing into an outliner, but the current OPML tool’s an experiment, so writes to a Frontier server. I’d like to keep all my blogging here (okay, there’s LJ, but that’s different.)

I could go down Les’ path and build some XSLT pipelines, but I’d love to have an outliner window open in MarsEdit and update it with the linkbloggy stuff during the course of the day.

  • Thanks for the link Bill. I am happy to use new tools periodically for the very reason that the tools are new and that they by virtue of being new tweak new neurons in your brain to fire.

This is one of the reasons I switch back and forth from one piece of software to another and from small-format paper to large-format paper etc etc, just to make sure that things are different once in a while.
