Octavia Butler, RIP

Terrible news, author Octavia Butler died unexpectedly yesterday.

The irony is that I’m up in Seattle, her home town, for a small science fiction convention. However, Ms Butler was a very private person, so we didn’t learn about this until someone checked in their blog rolls.
