Jupiter’s New Red Spot

Jupiter’s grown a new Red Spot. Jupiter remains a dynamic world: the first Red Spot developed a little over 300 years ago; when Shoemaker-Levy 9 crashed into the planet’s southern hemisphere, it left a mark; and this new storm developed only in the past five years. ETA: The New Horizons spacecraft, swinging by Jupiter to pick up a gravity assist on its way to Pluto, caught another image of the Little Red Spot in February of 2007.
