We now have thousands of images of Mars taken from orbit, but I love this image taken from the Rosetta spacecraft, as it zipped past a thousand kilometers above the Syrtis region of Mars. You see the spacecraft in the frame, one solar panel sticking out like an airplane’s wing. It makes the scene more real, you could imagine yourself looking out the window of a spacecraft over Mars.
