Kip Manley and Jen Manley Lee met Cyn and me for brunch while we were in Portland. Kip pressed copies of his serial urban fantasy novel, City of Roses, into my hands. You ought to read it. It has the Decemberists, Steely Dan, a hang-dog hero who wouldn’t take any guff from Buffy, and fey knights in track suits and ear-goggles.
Much of it takes place in the neighborhood around the Potlatch hotel.
