My pick for the oldest weblog is the Cool Site of the Day, whose first entry is dated August 4, 1994, and which seems very much in keeping with the early blogs (links to other sites, little-to-no commentary). Since the Web itself (in its present, public form) is effectively only 14 months older than that, I think people would have to do some digging to find an older site. Although it wouldn't surprise me if the CSotD had been inspired by something earlier.

The earliest entry from the Logbook of the Saturday Dining Conspiracy is February 3, 1996. My own short-lived News From Node Zero-Prime started on April 24th, 1996. The oldest timestamp on the More Like This WebLog that I could find was May 27, 1995.
